Hotel Makartanya Sport & Wellness*** is situated close to the university campus, in the greenbelt, just a few minutes from the historical city centre.

Hotel

The hotel was built by the plans of Sandor Devenyi, Kossuth and Ybl Prizes winner architect. A well-arranged park, sports fields, a playground and a car park surround the buildings of the centre. The centre ensuring the quality of the 21st century is suited to arrange sports programmes, conferences, training, exhibitions, family and friendly gatherings of a high standard meeting all claims. The hotel has a restaurant, where we offer you characteristic of us popular meals of the local Hungarian and international cuisine Parking is possible free of charge in a guarded car park. Pets welcome. Reception: 6.00 am - 10.00 pm

Rooms

The hotel has 27 double rooms. Most of the rooms can have spare beds so the biggest capacity reaches 100 persons. All the rooms are at high standard, equipped with modern furniture: bathroom, air-conditionier, minibar, UPC cable television, telephone and built-in hair dryer. 
Hotel I. (20-24sqm): in old wing, on the first floor, consist of a bedroom and a living room and a bathroom. On request with extra bed. 
Hotel II. (23sqm): in new wing, consist of a bedroom and a living room and a bathroom equipped with air-condicioning. On request with extra bed. 
Sportapartment (60sqm): in new wing, consist of a bedroom and a living room and a bathroom, without air-condicioning. Rooms for disabled.

Conference services

The hotel organized several activities in the tennis hall (2000sqm) in the last few years. The hall can be easily converted into a perfect scene for arranging exhibitions or even conferences supplemented by the entertainment of guests. The representative upstairs conference hall (300sqm decorated by a wooden cupola) can provide meetings with buffet meals or hot food and dance programmes for 150 people at the same time. The hall can be divided into two sections. Technical equipments: Flipchart, Tv, video, CD player, microphones, Internet access (They can also arrange for the purchase or hire of other equipments.)

Wellness and Spa

There are wide range of sports facilities: squash, tennis, bowling, fitness hall and in the wellness sector: infra sauna, solarium, massage. These services are available free of charge within the confines of our special deals. In summer the guests can use the open-air swimming pool of Makartanya.
